I’m writing to thank you for joining me over these many months in what has been an incredible journey. John and I appreciate your support, your energy and your prayers more than you know. Please know that it was your enthusiasm and passion that inspired me every day of this race.
Some of you donated generously, some made phone calls, knocked on doors, put up yard-signs, or hosted events. Many of you did all of these things and more. For all of that, I simply want to say: thank you, thank you, thank you!
I congratulate Michelle Lujan Grisham on her victory. Although I am disappointed with the outcome of the race, I am as optimistic as ever about the ingenuity and determination of New Mexicans to roll up their sleeves and solve the pressing issues facing our country.
This race may be behind us, but the real work is only just beginning. As we look to the future now, we must remember that our representatives do the job we demand they do. It remains our duty to help our elected officials tackle the issues we addressed in this campaign. They cannot do their job without us, and that is the beauty of our democracy.
To that end, I urge you to continue working and fighting for the issues of this campaign, because that’s exactly what I plan to do. Our state and our country are worth fighting for.
Again, thank you for your support. I look forward to staying in touch with you and building on what we’ve accomplished in this race.
Thank you,
Janice Arnold-Jones
